Why are you involved within the journalism field? I’ve always been interested to know what’s happening around and being a journalist allows me to share unbiased news to any readers.
Reasons for participation in NMMU’s World Cup Project: It’s a good experience, an opportunity to gain experience in French journalism and improve my French writing skills.
What do you find interesting about (online/web) journalism?
It can be seen worldwise by anyone. It is a new platform for spreading news since newspapers are becoming obsolete.

Why are you involved within the journalism field? Everything that touches marketing or communication is related to my studies. Besides, I like journalism.

What do you find interesting about (online/web) journalism? It is a nice way to be introduced to many fields of journalism, writing, taking pictures, shooting films…

Why are you involved within the journalism field? I want to learn about the diversity of writing. Writing novels, essays, short stories, etc each have a different structure. Journalism is something new to me. I want to learn more about the style of writing.
Reasons for participation in NMMU’s World Cup Media Project: To broaden my scope of interest. I want to learn more about journalism, and the skills needed to be a journalist.
What do you find interesting about (online/web) journalism? The fact that everything is so connected. Globalisation is clear in this field of work/interest.

What do you find interesting about (online/web) journalism? It’s relevant, up-to-date, fast, ever-changing, and keeping up with the times. It is easily accessible and covers just about anything and everything, through a variety of media.Hopes/preferred career/media field for the future: To be a feature writer for a travel magazine, or a presenter for a TV program like ‘Top Billing’ or ‘Top Travel’, or the Travel channel on DSTV.
